Today, the 19th of February 2021, is the 25th month since we received the first bits of funding to kick start Drill Surgeries Ltd. (next month is our 2nd Anniversary since our launch, stay tuned).
In this time, we have learnt and grown a lot as a company, working with different teams and companies and receiving support from the European Union, Hospitals, Medical professionals, etc. in our mission to improve healthcare worldwide.
We have always said that the best ideas - the biggest impact - come from collaboration so, we want to increase this level of in-house collaboration by bringing onboard new members to the team of Drill Surgeries Ltd.
We want to ensure that the welcoming is as smooth and safe as possible given the current circumstances. To make sure that we do things properly, we will conduct this hiring process in collaboration with one of our earlier supporters, the University of Liverpool (Liverpool, UK) and with one of our latest collaborations, the Liverpool John Moores University - LJMU - (Liverpool, UK).
This means if you are a current student, graduate or PhD student researcher from the University of Liverpool or LJMU you can apply to work with us.
Don't worry if you are not a member of either of these Universities, we are always looking for exceptional people and, if you decide to get in touch, we will keep you in mind for future opportunities.
We don't believe that a degree encapsulates you to do one single job, so we don't really pay as much attention to your degree as we do to the skills that you possess, either as a result of University, Work Experience or Personal Projects.
We are actively looking for:
- a PhD student with experience in Augmented Reality;
- a Student or Graduate with experience in Augmented Reality as well;
- a Student or Graduate with experience in electronics and embedded systems.
*Other positions and responsibilities can become available in the near future.
We are expecting to bring onboard 3 or 4 new members in the following months.
These are paid internships, that last between several weeks and up to a couple of months.
Contracts can be flexible and allow for full-time or part-time commitments.
Benefits:
- work at a dynamic startup aiming to reduce radiation at hospitals worldwide by 50%;
- work on the creation of one of the first medical AR devices for hospitals;
- take responsibility for your work from day 1;
- flexible and remote work possibilities;
- company swag;
This is a great opportunity for a candidate to gain insight into innovation in health/medical technology and experience in working for a start-up/small-medium enterprise and applying research and development skills in a commercial setting.
Don't hesitate to share your CV and a description of the type of work you see yourself doing at Drill Surgeries and our team will review it as soon as possible. Also, if we cannot find anything for you right away, we will keep you in mind for future opportunities.
