Drill Surgeries Ltd. partners with user electronics manufacturer EDTap
We are releasing an Open-Source and Open-Hardware project together to improve how people adapt to the "New Normality" during COVID-19
We are living in unprecedented times. As people embrace the new normality, more people are back on their routines with a new inseparable accessory, their masks.
For the past months, we have experienced and observed many people struggling to find the right balance between going out and going back to their routines while having their masks with them at all times. Eating out in restaurants or pubs, attending your lesson at school (depending on the country) or just cooking at your own kitchen are just some situations where individuals do not need to wear their masks but, they still need to keep them somewhere.
How do we keep them safe and protected from external contact (the environment itself, the table which may not be disinfected correctly, the pocket itself...)?
Talking with individuals and companies, we, at Drill Surgeries, partnered with the user electronics manufacturer EDTap (ELECTRODYNAMICS TAP LIMITED) to find a solution.
After months working on the final product we are ready to present it to the community next week, and with the commitment of giving back to the community and collaboration - key pillars at Drill Surgeries Ltd. and EDTap - we have decided to release the project openly, released as open-source and open-hardware with an Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
Stay tuned for next week's release!
